Book Production

We are fortunate to have guest speaker Aaron Constant from Puritan Press join us to discuss photo book production.

He will be covering information on Puritan Press in Hollis, and the services they offer; how to reproduce photos in books for self promotion or art sales; the process of book production from inception to design, printing & binding; color management; and file preparation.

He will discuss the pros and cons between different short-run print houses.

Custom Picture Framing Workshop

This will be a “hands-on” workshop presented by Ian Raymond. Please bring a small print with you, for which you will be taught how to  hand cut a mat (mat board will be provided). Ian will be discussing the proper materials to use when dry mounting, matting, and framing your artwork in preparation for exhibitions or display on your wall at home. He will touch briefly on archival materials and techniques. The focus will be on producing high quality, professional results, using basic equipment that is affordable, and will allow you to do custom framing at home. There will be time for questions, if you have any specific problems or framing issues.
