Next NHSPA Meeting

Our next meeting will be on Saturday August 13th at 10:30am upstairs in the Carriage House at Kimball Jenkins in Concord.

This will be the first meeting to review the progress on our new Architectural Project.

Please bring in all of your Full Resolution Tiff Files for uploading to our hard drive. Please have the images all processed:  color correct, tonal correct, straighten perspective (vertical lines on buildings should be parallel, not converging). Do not manipulate the images other than these basic corrections. Do not over sharpen, or oversaturate the images. 

For each building that you have photographed, please have a completed, corresponding  Building Documentation Form (you can download these from the NHSPA website or from the NHSPA Facebook member’s page)

In addition to the full resolution tiff files, if you are able to do so, please bring duplicate files of the same photographs, as jpegs that we can quickly load into our laptop to view with a digital projector, so we can discuss the images.

Please feel free to bring prints of your work, especially if you have been shooting large format on film (you may also bring digital files of this work if you have access to a scanner).

Don’t worry if you are unable to complete any of the above instructions, as we will plan on doing a brief review of the process for participating in this project: where you can find the Building Documentation Forms, the online sign up sheets to reserve or log in a particular building you wish to, or have photographed, and how to access the spreadsheets showing which buildings and towns have been photographed. We can also walk you through the basics of image processing.
