MEMBER ZOOM SEMINAR - Long Term Projects - Conversations with the Creators

21 Dec 2021  7:00 PM

We are planning a Zoom session by two talented NHSPA members on personal projects they've been working over a number of years.

Becky Field

Becky is no stranger to most NHSPA members. Her long term project on NH immigrants has yielded two award winning books and an ongoing passion for supporting these newest Americans. Full of wonderful color imagery and thoughtful text, the project was started in 2012. Becky's involvement in it has also led to the creation of a scholarship program for these new citizens. Becky will describe what this project was about as well as the challenges she faced creating it.

Mark Bolton

Mark is a full time photojournalist and sports photographer. He has over 30 years of experience shooting everything from breaking news to presidential campaigns.  He also has a passion for the out doors in general and, wait for it, obstacle course racing!  More to the point, Mark's son had two open heart surgeries before he was 6 years old and Mark has been documenting his son's challenges since birth. The images of this story has been displayed at  Dartmouth-Hitchock, Boston Children's and NHTI Concord's Community College.  Mark will guide us thru this incredibly personal story that started when his son was 10 minutes old and continues today, 12+ years later.

Both Becky and Mark will take you behind the scenes of their projects, speaking about how they came about, what were their challenges and what these project have meant to them.

So please register and be inspired!
