Lakes Region review

29 Jan 2019 12:51 PM | Dan Gingras (Administrator)

We keep learning more about how to manage a statewide photographic documentary project involving many dozens of photographers and thousands of photos.

The review of the Lakes regions work was a prefect example.  The photography was great and we've got more tha 45 GB of photos now in the catalog representing a good part of the state.

We now have a master Lightroom catalog that synchronizes directly with the Google drive, making it infinitely easier to manage the process.   This has caused us to revise the naming and saving conventions a bit which is highlighted in the above document.

Basically we don't need separate RAW and JPG catalogs,  a single RAW catalog is all we need.  If you don't use lghtroom, you can create a folder using the same naming convention and save your RAW or TIFF photos there.

We also realize that we don't want to circle back to re-review previously reviewed photos, so we want to add a review number to the file or catalog number. (see naming documents)
