INFORMATION ABOUT THE DOCUMENTARY PROJECT:

The New Hampshire Society of Photographic Artists in association with the New Hampshire Historical Society is initiating a project to present a photographic portrait of life in New Hampshire and display the results of that portrait in a series of regional and statewide exhibits with the objective of a book of selected photographs. New Hampshire Artist Laureate Gary Samson will curate the project.
There will be multiple phases of the project focusing on individual areas of the state. We have started with Phase 1 – The Seacoast, beginning with images created on or after August 1st 2018. Other phases will follow and will be announced on our website. However, all images must have been made after August 1st 2018.
Photographers must be members of the New Hampshire Society of Photographic Artists in order to participate in the project. Membership is open to anyone who would like to participate. The photographers will be expected to:
NHSPA will provide opportunities to work with professional photographers, and other well known New Hampshire photographers in a mentoring capacity. Our focus will be to improve the level of competency of all the project participants through individual coaching, seminars and other programs.
